“Writing has always been a true love of mine. Everyone has a story to tell, whether in the form of fiction or non-fiction, prose or poetry, song lyrics or love letters. We write for a variety of reasons, including to share with the public, for the personal satisfaction, to inspire others, therapeutic reasons, or perhaps just to record family history for future generations.
“The hardest part of any form of writing is getting that first sentence down on paper. Writing is not the instantaneous process as depicted on TV with an enthusiastic author typing their manuscript in one energetic try before shooting it off to their agent or publisher.

“Rewriting is a painstaking and arduous process that typically takes many more days, weeks and months to accomplish than the completion of the first draft.

“But at the end of the day, reaching the finish line is an incredibly rewarding and gratifying experience that’s worth the blood, sweat and tears of the endless edit, edit, edit 'til you’re completely satisfied process.”
